- Not enough light: Peace Lilies prefer low light but need more light to bloom. Shift the plant to a new position with brighter, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as their leaves can scorch easily. The ideal lighting condition is medium to bright indirect light.
- Wrong time of year: Peace Lilies can technically flower any time of the year, but they usually bloom in spring and autumn. If your Peace Lily isn’t flowering, it might just be the wrong time of year.
- Not mature enough: Peace Lilies often won’t flower until they’re 1 to 3 years old. Even if it was flowering when you bought it, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s old enough yet.
- Too cold: Peace Lilies tolerate cooler temperatures than most indoor plants but prefer mid to high 20s (75-85°F) during the day to help trigger flowering and keep them blooming.
- Hungry: Peace Lilies aren’t heavy feeders, but they do need nutrients for flowering. Shift from a foliage formula fertilizer to a bloom or flower fertilizer and feed ‘little and often.’ Use a low-salt fertilizer without urea, sodium, or chlorides to avoid brown leaf tips that Peace Lilies are prone to.
