Snake Plant Propagation by Leaf Cuttings in Water

Snake Plant Propagation by Leaf Cuttings in Water
1. Grab your supplies:
Healthy snake plant leaf
Scissors
Glass jar
Water
2. Pick a strong leaf:
Choose a healthy, firm leaf.
You can use the whole leaf or cut it into sections (each section needs a bump called a node).
3. Snip and soak:
Make a clean cut on the leaf.
Place the cut end (or ends) in water, submerging about 1/4 of the leaf.
4. Bright light, happy life:
Put the jar in bright, indirect sunlight.
5. Water change weekly:
Keep the water fresh by changing it every week.
6. Patience is key!
It can take 2-4 months for roots to appear.
7. (Optional) Move to soil:

Once roots reach 1-2 inches, plant your new snake plant babies in pots with well-draining soil!
